Made a mask using muslin and thread + elastic. A virus can penetrate this fabric. Both woven and knitted fabric are in essence mesh screens, with space between the filaments. Likewise, sewing with a needle stabs holes in the cloth. Fully effective protection from a microscopic virus requires fused seams (no holes) and dense, fused materials that eliminate the potential for virus to come into contact with the wearer’s mouth or nose.

Technology. Years into drafting hat patterns by hand with a compass, pencil, ruler, scissors and geometry, am exploring.
